One-time means one-time. Free, Personal and Pro never expire and never need a subscription — pay once, own it. The included year of updates renews optionally at $29/yr; skip it and everything keeps running. Terza is our business subscription: it funds the research, and in return business seats get the Terza engine, fleet rights, priority support and updates for as long as it runs. Launch prices apply until launch pricing ends.

Licensing FAQ

The fine print, in plain language

What's your refund policy?

14 days, no questions asked. If LatticeSearch isn't for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase and you'll get one. (A refunded license is revoked — that's the one thing an online check is ever used for.)

How does the license work?

Licenses are per-machine. Personal and Pro cover one machine; Team covers five seats. The license is perpetual: you keep the version you bought forever, with a year of updates included. Major future versions may be offered as a discounted paid upgrade — never a forced one.

Replacing your machine? Contact support and we'll transfer the license to the new one.

Does activation work offline?

Yes. The license is verified offline — it's cryptographically signed and tied to your machine, so it keeps working with no internet connection (with a grace period if you're offline for a long stretch). No file data or usage is ever sent anywhere; an online check, if it happens at all, only asks whether a license was revoked after a refund.

Is there really no subscription?

Really. Individuals never need a subscription: buy once, use forever. After your included year of updates, continuing updates are an optional $29/yr — decline and your installed version keeps working, offline, indefinitely.

What's open-source and what isn't?

The lattice CLI, the MCP server, and the documentation are going open-source under Apache-2.0 on GitHub. The desktop GUI app, the engine internals, and enterprise features remain proprietary. You can build agent integrations on the open core without a license; searching your machine with the full engine requires the product.
